QUILTER'S TIPS

I use knitting needle protector tips on my small scissors when I carry them in my bag.

When traveling, I use a small bar of soap for a pincushion.  It lubricates needles and prevents pins from rusting.  I also use empty paper towel rolls around which I wind binding, fusibles, etc.  It prevents creasing    It is also how I carry blocks when I travel. The blocks can be stored around the tube to prevent folds.

Our group has discovered that carrying supplies for projects (thread, scissors, etc.) in clear, plastic, zippered cosmetic cases is very convenient and inexpensive-we even have one case for each project.

I use old eyeglass cases (envelope style) to store rotary cutters.  I store many of my smaller items in a small plastic fishing tackle box.
